Tension continues in Alcalá de Henares following the alleged rape of a young woman last Monday by an immigrant from Mali housed in the reception center. Today, residents have staged the third protest outside the center in a sign of protest, which is guarded by police officers.
Attendees denounce insecurity and reject claims of racism. «It’s a matter of common sense,» one of them said, while also calling for the closure of the center, which opened two years ago.
Racist graffiti has appeared in that center. They were made after the unauthorized demonstration on Friday night, which led to one arrest and one officer injured.

During this protest, Vox leader Santiago Abascal attended to denounce the open-door policies promoted by the two-party system that have allowed the massive influx of illegal immigrants. Abascal stated on Sunday that the immigration policies of PSOE and PP are destroying the country’s economy and forcing «hardworking Spaniards to pay with their own taxes and support the rapists of their daughters and the politicians who bring them.»
He asserts that the immigration policies «proposed and promoted by the two-party system in the form of distribution of unaccompanied minors» result in a «call effect» that allows everyone to come to Spain without respecting laws and living at the expense of Spaniards.
