The local government of Alcalá has approved the renovation of the city’s sanitation network with special attention to critical points where floods occurred.
The replacement of sections that are «structurally exhausted or with a deficit in hydraulic capacity» will be addressed. The works will be carried out on a section of the Vía Complutense, from Andrés Saborit street to O’Donnell Park, as well as on Daoíz y Velarde street and Torrelaguna street up to its intersection with Marqués de Santillana street, at the entrance of the underground.
The actions outlined in this project are aimed at improving the hydraulic functioning of the network, reducing the environmental impact of discharges in combined sewer systems, and facilitating maintenance operations.
