The tension continues in Alcalá de Henares following the alleged rape of a young woman last Monday by an immigrant from Mali housed in the reception center. Today, the residents have staged the third protest outside the center’s doors in a sign of protest, which is guarded by police officers.
Attendees denounce insecurity and reject any mention of racism. «It’s a matter of common sense,» one of them said, while also calling for the closure of the center, which opened two years ago.
Incidentally, racist graffiti has appeared at that center. This occurred after the unauthorized demonstration on Friday night, which resulted in one arrest and one injured officer.

During this demonstration, Vox leader Santiago Abascal attended to denounce the open-door policies promoted by the bipartisan system that have allowed the massive influx of illegal immigrants. Abascal stated on Sunday that the immigration policies of PSOE and PP are destroying the country’s economy and forcing «hardworking Spaniards to pay with their own taxes to support the rapists of their daughters and the politicians who bring them in.»
He asserts that the immigration policies «proposed and promoted by the bipartisan system in the form of distributing unaccompanied minors» represent a «call effect» that allows anyone to come to Spain without respecting laws and living at the expense of Spaniards.
